Neurodiversity
Neurodiversity is the viewpoint that brain differences are normal, rather than a deficit. Neurodivergent people experience, interact with, and interpret the world in unique ways. Johannes was introduced to the world of neurodiversity through the Lorna Wing Centre for Autism (UK) who was invited by the Neurodiversity Centre (NDC) to present and train professionals. Herewith Johannes completed his Diagnostic Interview for Social and Communication Disorders (DISCO) training and worked with the NDC to gain experience in working with neurodiverse people in the autism spectrum, for example.
It is very empowering to be able to better understand child development in all its different forms and help parents, partners, and individuals to gain valuable insight. Johannes assesses and provides therapy to adults, teens, and children who experience neurodevelopmental difficulties.
